Labor Day Weekend, 2024

When I was in elementary school, my class took a field trip to Colonial Williamsburg, and the experience, for whatever reason, has stuck with me. I still remember making candles by dipping string in bees wax over and over. I was hoping the boys would have a similar experience. Plus I had almost taken a job in Williamsburg, and so Rebecca wanted to see what “might have been.”
We did a day in Colonial Williamsburg, and a day in Jamestown – with some brewery stops in between, and there are a lot more of those in Williamsburg than you’d expect.
I don’t know how much the boys will remember, but Gabe rarely asked to be carried so I’m going to take that as he was engaged and entertained.
